This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Carole Chaet. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, activist and educator! We will remember her forever.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. She was the best boss I ever had. Challenged me to become a better teacher at CRLS and then was so supportive in helping me achieve my goals. She was always a role model and a person I so admired. Missed her after she retired. She had such an impact during her life.
If I had to choose one quality of Carole's to write about it would be her love of laughter. I can rember spending hours by the pool or around the fireplace, while our families just told stories and laughed together. Some of my fondest memories are from "Aunt" Carole and "Uncle" Micky. Carole you will be greatly missed. My condolences to your entire family.
Carol was a wonderful colleague! She was hard-working, smart, funny, indefatigable -- and totally dedicated to creating a history and social studies curriculum that presented an inclusive, honest narrative. She wanted students and teachers to engage, to think deeply, to take the work seriously. She was always trying to make things better, fairer - and she did! I loved working with her!
I loved working with and for Carole! She inspired me to be a better teacher and taught me how to be an effective, fair and kind administrator. She was a role model in a curriculum department that had few female members: I will always treasure my memories of traveling to the former USSR with her and other CPS personnel!
We are so saddened to hear of Carole's passing and send everyone in the family our deepest condolences. Love and strength from Switzerland, Liz and family
