Carol and Jay and their boys moved next door to me when I think I was 12, 1973? Carol was such a wonderful neighbor to us and a great friend to my mother. We shared a backyard and front walkway. Carol was a role model for me--a principled and no-nonsense woman who was an intellectual and was caring and friendly. I think about her all the time and will always remember her influence on me.

I'm so sorry for your loss.Carol lived next door to my Aunt Ginny It was a pleasure knowing her over the years. It was like one big family so she always joined birthday celebrations and other dinners. She was a friend of the Biggar family too, including hosting out of town guests at my wedding. She was a great example with her travel and never ending interest in the world around her.
