Dear Sarah, It's always sad to hear about the loss of a very special someone in your life but thank goodness for all the wonderful memories that one has to hold on to if they were blessed to have known that person as a friend and neighbor as I was when your Mom and Dad moved to Amesbury. My heartfelt condolences to Dr. Labaree's loved ones. We once corresponded on Labaree/Laberee genealogy. He very generously agreed to visit my parents & me at their home in Swampscott, MA, circa late 80's/early 90's to discuss our family connections. He could have just continued to correspond, but he went that extra step and we were honored to meet this distinguished historian & cousin.
