I met Barbara and Leo ( it’s hard to say one without the other) in 1956. Over the years we enjoyed simchas for Susan, Joey, Linda ,Matt. In 1986, they invited me to join them on my first trip to Israel. I know how happy Barbara was to welcome Claudia and Judy into the family. Her joy on becoming a Bobbe. She was kind, thoughtful, intelligent, and a dear dear friend.  Judy and Alan Tobin

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara.  I'm the wife of Matthew "Matty" Yorks and I always heard such wonderful stories about the Karas family.  Matt loved each and every one of you.  Every once in a while he will actually remember a childhood story and Joey is always in it.  Our thoughts are with you all.
