This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Arthur Daley, Jr. We will remember him forever.
I’ll always remember working A lines with Art and he would get the largest coffee Dunkin’ sold. The cup was too hot for me to even pass it to him, but he’d pound it down like it was water. I figured his tongue must be made of leather. And I’ll always remember playing on the Hurley Hackers with him and Chops. Locker room full of guys yucking it up and the 2 of them barely ever said a word.
On our graduation day from the Academy in 1978, we were all standing in the hallway and talking about what we wanted to achieve on the job. Some said they wanted to be officers. Some said they wanted to get into the BCI. Art said he was going to remain a Trooper for his entire career. He said it was an honorable position and saw no reason to do anything else. His maturity impressed me.
The first time my wife and I met Art was through a friend who gave us his number to close our pool. For over 16 years him and his “crew of one” would show up the week before Memorial Day to open and after Labor Day to close our pool, and we would “chew the fat”! Art was an “Old School Guy” who enjoyed a good story as much as telling one! Our condolences to his family and friends,God bless
So sad to hear this devastating news about Art. I always enjoyed our conversations & admired his dedication to his work. He built our pool decades before we moved into our place, & we knew it was always in good hands as he, his kids and staff took care of it. He didn't come every week, but whenever he did, I felt fortunate. I am so sorry for this great loss. Condolences & blessings to all.
