I tried to stay in touch with Alvin over the years, we met some 47 years ago and rented a house on the Hudson River together for a few years, Alvin being 8 years older than me was like a big brother. He taught me some of life’s lessons I still follow to this day. Not being able to pick up the phone and talk with him will be a void I will miss. My sincere condolences to his family.
