Gosh...saw Al a lot when he lived in his Cupertino house. Very sorry to hear of his passing. He and my Dad were friends and every time we'd see Ralph "The Barber" for my haircut in Palo Alto in the late 1950's, there would be Al, along with Tony Mak, Dude Angus, Tall Miles, and others. When I got older Al coached me on baseball teams I played on. Al...rest in peace

I first met him when I went to Los Altos High School.  He coached the baseball team there for a number of years before he moved on to Foothill College.  Never had him as a teacher or coach.  
RIP Al.
