Mom was a no-nonsense kind of lady who had once aspired to become a nun but devoted her life to raising a large family instead. A devout Roman Catholic and Democrat right to the end often governing her choices and opinions. She kept her mind sharp as an avid reader of murder mysteries and wholesome romance novels. Her writings reflected her values, fears, humor, and capacity for love.  

My grandma was a special lady whom I respected and loved very much. Any chance I could I would travel the miles to visit with her. She will be very missed by her entire family. Rest in peace Grandma Saint.
