Today marks a year and I can't believe it. We spoke every day and were so close. I just want to pick up the phone but can't. I feel you in my breath and in my heart and that will have to be enough. I am more emotional than I thought I would be today. I am going to go to the ocean. You loved the sea and I will sit and smell the air and remember. I love you Mom. You were the best ever.
Today is your birthday and you would have been turning 82. I miss you every day. You were the best mom and I was so lucky to have you as mine. One of the greats!!! Words cannot convey the love and the high regard I hold you in. You knew everything about me and were my biggest cheerleader. We were best friends and my first love.
Today is the second anniversary of your passing and I can’t believe how quickly the time goes. I miss you so much and hear your voice in my head. I’m with Tiffany today and she was another daughter to you. We will share stories and laugh and remember. You were the best mom ever and every one agreed. I continue to love you and feel your absence daily. I was so lucky to have you as my mom.
You would have turned 83 today. I miss you so much it still feels so fresh. You taught me so many things and I hear your voice in my head, giving advice or telling a joke. I continue to explore what our love has turned into and smile that you are in my every breath. I will love you forever, Mommy.
Today is your birthday. You would have been turning 85. You were so proud to make it to 80. I think of you every day, hear your laugh and when I used to cry, I now smile when I see crab cakes on the menu, your favorite. Your twin, my second mother and best aunt ever Riki came into this world 30 minutes after you but left twenty years before you. You never got over it. You are together again. I know you are both laughing as you see the amazing and often crazy life I am living. You both raised me to be entirely myself. You gave me so much love and encouragement that at this age I know is incredibly rare. You are still my queens. You mothered all my friends and they loved your humor, your glamour, your wise advice and letting us sneak a drink. You were that tall blonde glamorous mom in a short Pucci dress flirting with everyone while being a chaperone on various school events. You lived life your way, swore like a sailor including at my parent/teacher meetings. I loved it. I learned early the currency of having a beautiful mother. My father and I were so proud of your vitality and joy. I hear both your voices as I navigate this world. I miss you so much but feel you close. Happy birthday to my twins. I got a twofer.
Today is the 5th anniversary of your passing. So much has happened. You would have hated the pandemic glad you missed it. I’ve moved in with dad, sold both our homes and returning to Northern California to the most beautiful place in the world to a home that is truly a temple. You would have loved it. I have plans today. Keeping busy and love that you are in my every breathe. Always yours
I write happy birthday from your favorite place in the world. Carmel, California. I miss you everyday and you and Rikki would have turned 86 today. I love you forever. We are hanging your picture today in our new home. You live on in my heart and DNA. Happy birthday Mommy and Rikki. I love you both so much. I was so lucky to have you teach me so much.
Today it is 6 years and I find myself in Paris going to galas and parties with the most elegant and joyful people. I’m having the time of my life as it continues to expand. I love you so much. I remember.
You both would have turned 90 today, later this year I turn 60. Milestones for us both. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you or mention you. I love that I live in your favorite place in the world. I have found love here and dad passed a couple of months ago at 96. I carry all the love you gave me in my heart and celebrate you all.
