I feel quite a bit of sadness to read about Professor Chiong's passing. I was an adult economics student at UMass in the late 80s & he was an excellent instructor in statistics, He was very supportive & understanding mid-semester when I was out on materrnity leave briefly. I shall always remember him for the tough kindness he extended to me. May he Rest in Peace & keep on fishing!
