Bill Murphy was one of the friendliest people I ever had the pleasure of working with. He was very caring and asked if people were okay if they were out even one day unexpectedly. My memory of Bill is his stories, the way he laughed when telling them, seeing him in his yellow Navy shirt jogging his 3 miles around the base and the wave he gave as he passed by. Rest in Peace
Murph was my roommate during his graduate year at MSM. I saw him at a couple of reunions. He came down to the Outer Banks, NC for a week one Summer (either in '90 or '91). I ran into him at a couple of K of C/AOH functions in Richmond. He got me to smoke my first Swisher Sweet while we were at MSM. Bill was a great guy. He had a great memory for people's names. RIP my friend.
Bill, thank you for being my big brother, I love you and will miss you firever
I agree with Stephen White, Bill was one of the friendliest people I ever had the pleasure to work with. He loved to talk about his various 'fur babies', siblings and parents. I was shocked at his passing. I will miss seeing and talking to you. Go with God, Bill.
