Bill was a good friend, a true gentleman and a kind and considerate mentor of those he managed and those whose careers he shaped. At one time he managed a small group of IBM'ers charged with modifying selected IBM software products for use in their home countries. these young folks, working in a strange country were mentored by Bill who was a wonderful guide and father figure. Kind.
Bill was a neighbor and father of two of my cherished childhood friends. So kind, he was always going out of his way to help others in our community. As an adult, I had the pleasure of living across the street from Bill and he continued to be the go to person when my own children needed their loose teeth pulled! He was so gentle and just the most wonderful person. He will be missed.
