Dr. George was a consumate musician and human. He was the only teacher in my music education that made theory and analysis exciting and applicable to performance. After many years he is still ever present as I approach a new piece of music. He was witty and kind with a twinkle in his eye. His interests were diverse.  He loved Art Deco.  A gem of a person!
