This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Willam Friedland, 94, born on May 27th, 1923 and passed away on February 20th, 2018. He will be remembered and missed.
Bill lived life on his own terms; true to his values until the end.
He lived and worked in one of the most beautiful locations on earth.
He had the intellectual freedom to pursue new ideas and knowledge.
He made 94 years. How great is that?
William H. Friedland has been the most important scholar in the field of the labor process and organization in agricolture and in the agribusiness. He influenced many scholars in America and in Europe. For me Bill has been non only a colleague but first of all a family friend.
