I remember taking orchestra at Chandler JH with Walter-I played clarinet..and remember how talented and bright he was so many years ago.  
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Walter and I played in the Richmond Youth Symphony under Edgar Schenkman during the 1960's. I think Walter was playing the flute at the time. One time Mr. Schenkman was very late for practice so Walter stepped up to the podium and got us started. When Schenkman finally arrived he was obviously very impressed with Walter's talent. Bless you Walter.You were quite a musician.
