I miss you so very much Mom. I am so thankful you and I were not only mother and daughter, but as I grew into adulthood we became good friends. You taught me so much about life, by the simple way you treated people you met along the way.  You never judged someone by the color of their skin, or anything else, but looked into their eyes and their hearts.  You were beautiful inside and out.

Despite all the unfair pain and challenges endured, she was a very loving mother who was always there for the 3 of us kids. Even with decades of extremely serious health issues and horrific brain tumors which she called the ultimate horror, she moved forward with her life demonstrating great courage. Clear up into my fifties, she still sent me a Xmas basket every year including my favorite planters salty dry roasted nuts. I love and miss you Mom.
