My Sweet Tim,
You would say that I was the love of your life, and you SHOWED me how much you loved me every single day. We told each other how much we loved the other, EVERY day. So, Sweetheart, I have not a doubt in my mind, that you loved me, nor that you knew how much I adored you. I know how blessed I am to have had you in my life. I sure wish it could have been another 25 years… Everyone that knows us, knew we were ‘THAT’ couple, that held hands all the time and kissed for no reason. I will miss holding hands as we fell asleep, your beautiful eyes, your dimples, your smile, your jokes and the side splitting belly laughs we would have together.
You were a wonderful man and husband. You were always right there beside me, no matter what was going on. Whether it was good days, bad days or even when I was sick with my breast cancer, you always took great care of me. You found a way, EVERY day, to make me smile and laugh. There were many times when we could just look at each other and say two words, and laugh so hard for five minutes that we were crying laughing until our sides hurt.  You could have been a comedian. To me, you were THAT funny.
You definitely had the gift of gab.  You could talk for hours.  I loved when you would come home and say, “Guess who I met today?” I would roll my eyes and smile because I knew you were gearing up to tell me a long story. Usually, about some random person you had met and just started talking to… And after what I would call the “6 Degrees of Tim” (because BEFORE you finished asking them six questions,  and getting them to talk about THEMSELVES), you would ALWAYS find someone in common that you both knew. You were famous for saying, “What a small world, huh?” You were just one of those people who could talk to anyone, make them feel comfortable talking to you, and they walked away like they just made a new friend. You could have been a detective, because you could get people to tell you everything but their mother’s social security number! So often, our fifteen minute ‘runs’ to the grocery store would turn into an hour, because someone would know you and stop us to say hi. People just loved talking with you. You will be sorely missed by so many people.
You were a very hard worker, you were generous when you could be, genuinely loved and cared deeply for your family and friends, were very compassionate, and honest to a fault. That is probably why so many people would call for your opinion or advice, because they knew you were a straight shooter and would tell them the truth, whether it was what they wanted to hear or not. I admired all of those qualities about you.
I know your Mom loved to fish also, so I hope it is always sunny and you are fishing in Heaven, with your Mom, Vince and Pop. I know you loved the holidays, so I hope Christmas is celebrated every day, so you can play Santa to all the precious children up there. Keep everyone laughing with your jokes, but hey, keep them clean, because you ARE in Heaven, sooo… stick to the corny Dad jokes.
I love you and will miss you always, Jeanne
