The best Christmas gift I ever had a hand in was for my Uncle Tommy.  My brother, TJ and I went in on it together. Fortunately, TJ picked out the actual gift.  There was a great sports memorabilia shop in our town.  I knew I wanted to buy something Bruins related.  But it was TJ who knew exactly what to get.  He picked an autographed photo of Gerry Cheevers’ iconic mask.  We had it professionally matted and framed.  The finished product was perfect.  I was so excited when we presented it to him on Christmas day.  He had the most excited reaction I had ever seen from any McFaden. He sang high praises of the gift and proudly said he’d hang it in his office at work.  It’s one of my most cherished memories.  We reminiscence about it every Christmas.  After decades of him giving us perfect gifts, it felt so special to give him something he prized.
