Dr. Garrett was a respected member of the Burgon Society. His interest in academic dress led him to the Society, joining over a decade ago. The three academic degrees he earned entitled him to wear the colorful plumage of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Columbia University, and New York University. His enthusiasm and insight will be sorely missed.  With  condolences from the Burgon.
