Mr. Tom Dusek was the heart of James Lick High School. I was in the class of 1976. He was always at the school events and helped us rah rah's cheer for our Comets to win! Me. Dusek always had a smile and made time to talk or just to say hello. He will be missed.

Mr, Dusek was truly the "Spirit of James Lick High School." Tom Dusek was present at every activity that I can remember - always smiling and happy to be with the students of JLHS. It was so good to see him at one of our reunions for the class of '64 several years ago. Ed Yco

Mr. Dusek was  an inspiration to me personally. He always had a smile on his face. I remember seeing him for the last time at our 1964 40 year class reunion. I too don’t recall a dance, sporting event or activity he did not attend. He will be greatly missed, but his “spirit” will live on in all of us who knew him.

Awww, so sad to hear about Mr. Dusek's passing.  What a sweet man he was with that cheerful smile as he walked around the campus greeting students every morning.  I'm a 1973 JLHS graduate and remember him so well.  I was on the yearbook staff and every now and then Mr. Dusek would pop in to see how things were going.  Rest well Mr. Dusek, you have truly earned it.  My sincere condolences.
