I am so glad to have had the opportunity to have Tom as a colleague: always ready to help and go the extra mile. I learned from him more than I realized at the time.  I considered him a friend.  I know he left the world a better place.

I  met Tom at Skidmore evening clay classes. I remember his energy, smile and bright blue eyes. He was working on a large sculpture but was happy to talk about his process. We shared the experience of working in education before clay. He was a mentor to all, inspiring, encouraging and  insightful. It was an honor to show with him twice.  He is missed. Heartfelt condolences to his family.
