Teresa (Teri) Piteck passed away on September 6th, 2023, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Her family offered the following reflections on Teri and her influence on our lives:
"Family was everything to her." "If she loved you, you knew it." "She had a huge heart and big feelings to go with it." "She had a big personality and she loved deeply." "She was a bringer of light and had the best hugs that would heal everything." "She always had a way of telling us what we needed to hear in her own way and never sugarcoated it." "She was always so proud of everyone's accomplishments." "She was a good and deep listener." "She would come up with a wisdom and thoughts that the rest of us would miss in life." "Never a dull moment!"
She is survived by her two sons, Travis Sprague and Brandon (Shane) Piteck, Shane's wife Amber, and their daughter, the light of Teri's eyes, her life-long dream and joy, her granddaughter Adelaide. Other surviving family include her mother Margaret Frederick and her brothers, Ken, Joe and David. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Thelma Stevens, Clara and Frenchy Verrall, and her biological grandfather Gottlieb Frederick. Also preceding her was her father Larry, and her middle brother, Richard. The family is certain they are all having quite the reunion.
While there will not be a formal memorial service for Teri, the family will be honoring Teri's wishes with a future visit to Glacier National Park to spread her ashes.
