She danced around my office when she won a grant for research proving the Dean was a bozo. I was the Dean. How could you not love her?
Susan was a special lady and friend. Always there to lend a hand and be a supportive influence and mentor. Rest in peace Susan, your shining smile will be missed!!
Susan was my friend from the time we were children through high school and beyond. She was so funny, smart, talented, and instinctually right about people. She was and always will be a star in the universe.
It's been 30+ years since I worked with Susan in Staunton, but she has always been one of my favorite people, even though distance kept us from spending time together after we both moved on to other jobs. I'm grateful for having had the opportunity to reconnect with her in the last couple of years.
Susan-an unselfish mentor and friend. She was a guiding star in my life. My dad reserved a simple phrase for those special and great people in our lives. He said they were "the best they make." And so she was.
Susan, was not just my boss she was a friend, a mentor and a mother figure to me. She was awesome and I look forward to seeing her again, I haven't stopped learning from her, we've simply pushed the pause button, see you soon Susan.
