He did his best to find the good in people. He smiled and greeted whomever and whatever came his way. I can't think of kinder, more generous human who loved to laugh, drink wine, eat great food, and have a good time -- boy was he grateful. He loved his family and friends.
We are all waiting for a short review of the food and service in heaven.

Hi Stevie.  Thank you for being such a wonderful nephew.  Many compliments have been said about you here in Charlotte, New York.  You are such a gentleman, classy, kind, generous and fun.   When you were a little boy, Dad told me you used to say, "Even if it is cloudy and raining, the SON is always shining."  Great tribute to Jesus.  I love you, Stevie, Aunt Rosie

Hello all you lovely people in Charlotte, NY.I wanted to send my condolences to the Mantelli  Family, and everyone else who Steve loved and adored. Guess that might be everyone! I have known Steve since he was a little boy, and he used to drive with Kevin out St. John Fisher, and Steve would make a big deal about dropping me off at Nazareth!! Good times we had! Rest in the Lord well Steve!

Worked with Steve at both Fleet Bank and Santander. He was a consummate professional. His greatest gift was his ability to relate to employees at all levels. I will forever have fond memories of working with him and I am grateful that I had that opportunity. God bless.

I have had the honor of knowing Steve for over 20 years. I worked for him for at least 10 years, and he was not only a wonderful manager, but became a very dear friend. He was one of the kindest, hardworking and most fun loving people you could ever meet. I miss and sincerely thank him for making my career and life better.

Steve was the first friend I had when I moved to Boston. 20 years of memories of hanging on his roof deck, carousing around town, eating and drinking and laughing all the time.....My heart breaks for the family and friends he adored. I will love and miss him forever...
