Skip is one of my mentors in life. One memory is that I arrived in Boston to start a child psychiatry fellowship completely broke. Skip arranged for me to earn some extra money as an observer for pre-school children and he provided supervision. I noted areas of a child's needs and emerging personality: from this I have always had a special understanding of young pre-school age children.
