Sigrun, 93, was married 67 years to Sebastian, a career officer in the Air Force. They met in Reykjavik, Iceland in WWII. They were stationed in Florida, Germany and Nebraska before moving to San Jose and retiring in Rocklin, CA. Sig raised 5 children, loved to cook, sew needlepoint and was active in the Icelandic Society of Nor Cal.
She is survived by her children: Martha, Carolyn, Glenn, Christine and Janet; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and her sister, Margret, in Iceland. Her final resting place is with Seb at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
All of us children love you and Dad. You are a very loving mother. A class act. We are so happy you had a full and happy life with Dad. Lucky lady, for sure! Please set a table for us in heaven with Dad. We want some pannakokur! We love you....we love you....we love you...Við elskum þig !
