I am so sorry to read about Sam. He was the nicest person and I remember him fondly from DSCR, but most importantly he was great friend and officer with my late husband, Tom Ryan, USAR, 80th Division. He and Tom shared many weeks at annual training, and weekend drills. Tom always spoke of Sam in the highest regard and shared funny stories of their years together.
The entire Pace family is in our prayers. I always considered Sam to be a true friend, someone that I often called upon for guidance and advice,...on work and on family matters. I truly enjoyed our many discussions where we complained about, laughed about, and solved the world's and work's challenges. Sam taught me about work and he taught me about life. I will miss him.
I was shocked to learn of Sam's passing. I will pray that the good Lord will hold all of the Pace family close in the palms of His hands during this difficult and sad time. I worked with Sam for 8 years at DSCR and he was a trusted and reliable friend and a great coworker who was always there to listen and give good advice on everything. I will miss his friendship and camaraderie always.
Dear Marion and Family, please accept my deep and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Sam. I was stunned to hear the sad news. I had the pleasure of serving with Sam 5 yrs at DSCR, and we also discovered we served in Iraq together though in different areas. Sam was a dear friend and outstanding colleague. I loved him as a brother and will pray for you all in the months to come.
