My good funny friend & mentor Russ, I looked for him long after my service as a young airman in Elmendorf,but when I finally found him online, it was this obituary that I found showing that he had passed on my birthday. I loved this man as he took pride in teaching me to be the best. He would always brag about me making me feel proud of my work, "Miguel is a sharp Airman" - God Bless Russ!

Im glad to see that he was finally able to live out his goal of having his Charter boats.  He'd always tell me his fishing stories, stories about his service in Vietnam, his funny jokes, etc always keeping me busy and entertained.  Russ was a very happy man and when he entered the room, he lit it up with his presence and his loud voice lol. I thank God for my time shared with Russ.
