We met Ron a few years ago through his wife, Dot. We enjoyed hiking/walking with them in the area around their home in Santa Cruz. Ron was a great story teller and had a good sense of humor to go along with his big, warm smile. We cherished the times we were able to spend together. Our condolences to Dot and the family.

I met Ron running a local 10k race around 1998 or 1999. He and I finished about the same timing, but he was 20 years older! He had a good sense of humor and told me he had run many marathons. I also ran into Ron and his wife several times while they were walking and I was running in the Santa Cruz Harbor area and beyond. I'm so sorry to hear that he passed away.

So sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. We met at church in Guerneville, while they vacationed on the Russian River. Shared some good times together, telling stories and reminiscing about old San Francisco. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Dot and your family. Ron will truly be missed.

I have so many wonderful memories of my grandfather and the love he shared with the world.   As a child he welcomed my sister, brother&me into his family with open arm and cared for us as his own grandchildren.  I am so blessed to be apart of his family and share their love and sorrows.  My grandpa was a good man and do many good things in his life, I miss his very much cherishing our time

Ron and Dorothy were wonderful neighbors. They always shared their adventures in Russian River and Hawaii. Ron always asked about my sons and my teaching career. Love and sincere sympathy to the Strout family??

I  am So Sorry to see of Ronny’s passing. I lost track of him after my mother passed away. She was his step sister June Jung. I have many memories of him growing up with my mother. The funniest one was the Concord grapes in the dining room. I know that him and my mother had a lot of good times growing up in West Seattle and Alki Beach. I know he is greatly missed by his family.  

On Wednesday April 12, 2023, there will be a memorial service for Ron at Villa Maria Del Mar in Santa Cruz CA. It will start at 11am.
