I am so very sorry to learn of Rolland’s passing.   He was my second dad.  Since Rick and I grew up together,  I was a constant fixture in the house.  Roland and Liz treated me like their child.  Took Rick and I to Music Under the Stars at the Zoo and let us eat all the junk food we wanted.  Took us to Tiger Stadium when the Red Sox were in town.  I loved him, and I will miss him.  

Rolland, who we called "Desi", was my parents neighbor. He & Liz were wonderful. Desi was so friendly & kind & such a great example of what faith in God is all about. I have very fond memories of growing up next to the Desautels family. I still remember when their son, Rick, was born and what joy he brought to their lives. I miss those times. Wonderful memories!
