Fond memories of working with Roger. Never a dull moment and lots of laughs. Sending love and hugs to Dolores.
I didn't know Roger that well, but whenever he came to Levi to help out he was an exemplar deputy. He did what was asked of him and people liked him. In all, he was a good human being and a good deputy.
In 1987, Roger was the first deputy to make me feel me welcome at the Sheriff’s Office when I started in the Programs unit as a new Extra help deputy. He’s always been that way.
RIP Roger.
One of the kindest men I have ever worked with. I will never forget him. Rest in Peace. He touched a lot of lives.
Roger was a great man! He and I shared stories, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. I got to know Roger through my work at HOJ metal detector, just before I left for Iraq. He shared stories with me of his time in service and working for Judge Tiehl. I will never forget his great smile and self deprecating humor. He was a great partner and I am thankful for the memories.
Roger was a dear friend to my son, Jonah, and I. He and friends Dennis and Theo welcomed us into reenacting. We developed a lasting friendship that began around seventeen years ago. Roger's ready smile and laugh (Jonah made him laugh a lot) and steady friendship we will always treasure and remember. I am a better person for having had him as a friend and a part of my life.
Dearest Dolores,
I am so saddened to hear of Roger's passing. I will always remember his kindness and gentleness. May his memories give you strength and peace. Praying for him and the rest of the family.
