I am so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. It was an honor and privilege to have known him for about 30 years. Awesome person, entrepreneur and family man! They don’t come any better!
I am so thankful to have worked for Roger for 12 years. In that time he was always very supportive of my work and my professional development. He and Carol gave me the freedom to pursue my career development in Lutherie even outside of the shop. Although I’ve missed seeing the shop and the family for many years, it will always be a wonderful memory knowing the Johnsons. Thank you all.
I was so saddened to hear of this. Roger has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Singing and playing music at Thanksgiving or in Cape Cod, Barbequed Carrot Hot Dogs and so much more. He will live long in my memory. My thoughts are with Carol and all of her immediate and extended family. I will mourn his passing and cherish his memory.
I was so, so, sorry to hear of Roger's death. Such a hole left in our world by the loss of his gentle, loving harmonious presence. Carol, Danny, Matt, Adam, I'm thinking of you all and sending love from afar.
I will always remember Roger's kindness, generosity, warmth and commitment to social justice. For the leading violin dealer to be someone with such great values means a lot. It should be noted that he also had a great sense of humor.
