I worked at the County of SC after graduating from college in 1968. I count as one of my good fortunes the meeting and subsequent friendship with Bob Guckert. His laughter was quick and easy; he was always ready for an adventure. I was about to send his birthday card so checked on his “new” address when I saw his obituary. I was blessed to have hiked many trails — sat through many games.

Bob and my husband, Lanny, were best friends, and the three of us often traveled to SJSU athletic events together. I know he and Lanny haven’t missed a game since they passed. I miss them so much.
