These recent decades having lived in faraway lands, I've only seldom been able to enjoy McConnell company. Yet, over the many years of knowing Bob, I long ago learned the depth behind that wry smile. McConnells all, please accept my heartfelt sympathy that you must part, even if only for a time, from Bob's wonderful spirit.  He is, and will remain, as bright a star in my life as in yours.
