Coach Hitch was a humble and encouraging mentor on the AHS track field. I have fond memories of his great smile, humor and trivia during practice and meets. He treasued fatherhood. I'll put a few more thoughts in the Stories tab. Sincerely, Cynthia Jeong Sevin, Class of '82
Coach Hitchcock was a wonderful teacher in US History, and more importantly for me, a patient instructor behind the wheel. My lessons with him included me nearly driving into the median as well as turning straight into on-coming traffic on a one-way road. He saved me both times and never lost his cool - a saint! I'll miss his stories, humor and good nature. Rest in peace.
My condolences to coach
Hitchcock’s family, he was a very nice man and an excellent teacher, I go back to his new days at Barrett Jr. High, and for years after see him around SLZ and he never forgot any ones name. Coach Hitchcock May you Rest In Peace .
