Bob will be missed by his Croatan family. Always friendly, interested in others and in justice for all. Bob’s poetry was a treasure.

Bob and I met in high school. We played basketball, and our team won the the 29th District Police Athletic League basketball championship in the 1940's. We became lifelong friends.  I envied Bob's ability to keep playing into his 60's--full court with men 20 years younger!  I loved his poems, admired his activism, and miss his gentle voice. --Marv Weisbord
