I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Garner was a substitute teacher at Windy Hill Middle School for several years. He was so loved by staff but especially loved by students. ALL students. He had a way of connecting through his stories and his manner. Some of our toughest kids would yell "Hey Mr. Garner" with a big smile. And he always greeted them back by name. Loved and never forgotten!

Mr. Garner was a substitute when I attended Calvert Middle. He is far and away the best substitute I ever had and one of the most memorable teachers in my entire education. I’m a first year teacher in now and I am so thankful for his example of how to inspire students and show them that they matter. He changed so many students’ lives and will not be forgotten!
