Indeed sad to hear this news.  “Dr. B” was the BEST MD (in every way) I have ever had the pleasure to work with.  Tremendously smart & most importantly one of the most kindest/compassionate human beings I have ever known.  Hugs & love to all his family in hopes that only happy memories replace the sad ones soon.  XoXo. Lana Griffin (retired RN ECH ED).

I agree with Lana! He was such a wonderful Doctor  I credit him with giving me the confidence I could advance my career  on nights he gave me advice and educated me on health policy.  I want to thank his family for also welcoming me and a coworker for an impromptu visit at your place in Squaw— Lori and I had the most wonderful dinner and you all made us feel welcome!

So very sad to hear! I am with Lana and Theresa, there will never be another Dr. B. Such a class act! He was the one of the smartest, kindest, most generous physicians I have ever had the honor to work with. Always collaborative, always appreciative.  Thank you for sharing him with all of us. He will be missed by many! Retired RN, ECH ER

Dr. Burnett was kind and compassionate, he made time to understand his patients and had a strong sense of intuition, of what was clinically wrong with the patient.  He listened and cared about the nursing staffs concerns, goals and aspirations. He was truly a one of a kind doctor, and will never be forgotten.

Dr. Burnett was beloved by all. He was a humble man who was mortified by praise. He tried to hide his kindness and generosity but we nurses caught him more than once slipping money to the downtrodden. He was gifted with wisdom and discernment making for a brilliant physician and mentor. He will remain in the hearts of so many who had the privilege of working with him.

Hearing about Dr. B.’s passing has left me with a rush of memories: watching him really listen to his patients and their families while sorting out what was true and important; remembering when he  asked me what I thought was going on with a patient - wow; listening to him laugh about something crazy; discussing Lifeguard with him -  what it was and wasn’t covering. My heart is heavy.

Our world has lost a humble and beautiful human. Dr B. was one of the most intelligent and hardest working doctors I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. Even on some of the busiest and worst nights in the ER if Dr B. Was on we knew we’d all get through it together. He was a genuinely kind and gentle man that cared for all his patients as if they were his family. Donna Alpers RN

This is sad news to hear of his passing I am honored to have had the privilege of working with Dr. B, getting to know him, but especially learning from him. He had a vast wealth of knowledge to share. He was an excellent teacher and great story teller!  Dr. B. was a true gentleman and gracious in every way. My condolences to his family.

Dr. Burnett was my pediatrician from when I was first born to my early teens.  He was such a great doctor and also a great person.  I am not kidding when I say that through the years I often thought of him and hearing his booming voice "Hey Tiger!" when he walked into the exam room.  He was always great to me, to my family and will always be my medical benchmark.  RIP Doctor Burnett

Dr. Burnett delivered me in 1961, and he was my pediatrician for years. I'm so thankful for his skill, kindness, and generosity.

I am very saddened to hear about Dr. Burnett's passing & I send my sincerest condolences to his family.  He was one of the kindest and most knowledgeable physicians that I ever worked with.  He treated everyone alike--with respect.  He was brilliant, but his humility didn't allow him to boast about his many accomplishments. He will be missed by many. Chris Grenz ret RN ECH ER

From 1959 to 1980 Dr Burnett was Doc to my three kids, till youngest was 18, he never turned away “his kids”.  He was always there for us thru many fractures, fevers, flu, etc.          We always knew that he was there for our kids at any time...RIP DR Burnett and thank you!!!!!

Dr Burnett was our family pediatrician from early 70’s thru 1984 when we moved to Colorado. He was a very nice doctor and my Mom was picky! I’m glad we had the best of the best with Dr. Burnett!
