I was fortunate enough to know Richard via his only child - Ellisa Pope.  He was a great dad and an amazing person.  I have fond memories of traveling with him, Ellisa, and Judy to Newport, Rhode Island and around the East Coast.  Richard sure knew how to have a good time whether it was seeing new sites, enjoying restaurants/bars, or just visiting and conversing.  I will miss him...
