It was always a pleasure to see and talk with you at the Seaside Library holiday parties. Thanks for being such a kind hearted and caring spirit.

I worked closely with ‘Mr. Shields’ in my first years as a bilingual Kindergarten teacher. I have remained in bilingual education since. I remember him as a warm and caring mentor. And at the end of a work day he would often say- “Let’s make like sheep and get the flock out of here.”
