Thank you, Dick Csaplar.
With the passing of our friend, Dick Csaplar, Boston’s faith community has lost a hero. I will never forget the fateful evening in 1987 when Dick passionately protested at a Zoning Board meeting that our worship center was being unfairly prevented from building our congregational home in town. Knowing our financial limitations his firm took up our case largely pro bono.
After a four year legal battle, we won the case. We started building. Relationships in town were healed and our synagogue and a succession of churches have never ceased to enjoy meeting at our lovely facility. Thank you, Dick, for your courage. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your friendship.

It is with deep appreciation and gratitude that I remember our brother and friend, Dick Csaplar. He and Joan were a part of our congregational life for many years. Because we were involved in many projects and ministries together, I came to know and love him deeply. And I witnessed the impact he had on many others, both locally and around the world
