I am very sorry that we have lost this intense and wonderful man, Carlo De Luca.  Carlo played a key role in the development of the BioMedical Engineering Department at Boston University, bringing his first-class NeuroMuscular Research Center to BU and maintaining excellence in research and applications through the decades.  I personally missed his funeral because I was out of the country and had limited email during that time.  I am still trying to process this major loss.
