Peter was a competitor for most of my career and I also worked with many of his former colleagues.  He forged ahead in the early years with the industrial implementation of ion implant courageously despite formidable obstacles. Our personal contact was always cordial despite the conflicts of our organizations!  I will miss him both as a person and a scientist.
