I will miss my dad for the rest of my life, but will also remember how much he loved all of us and how proud he was of our efforts and accomplishments. Perf valued his family and good friendships so much, which is why he was so concerned everyone stay safe and healthy right now, so please mourn safely, knowing we'd love condolences, memories, photos and especially his voice shared with us.
Perf loved his children immensely. It was always great to watch he and Karen debate topics like fisheries, politics, and of course, the right way to fix things. The love in his face when visiting his Daughters or Sons was beautiful and his Granddaughter is blessed to have known him. Give thanks to the Lord for he is good; His love endures forever.
Met Perf soon after arriving here in 1975. We developed our friendship over many games of chess. His game was excellent. Over the years that followed, we had many splendid days together, working on fisheries issues, traveling together in the Bering Sea region, & sharing life's triumphs and disappointments. He was engaging & always fun to share time with. I will miss his laughter and joy.
