We loved him as a father, grandfather, great grandfather, husband, uncle and friend. He was someone to look up to, to admire, to respect. He was intensely self-disciplined, he loved his family, his catholic church and his country.
All of us who knew him enjoyed his quick wit, his pleasant personality, his strength, in times of uncertainty and his unwavering sense of duty.
He will always be by our side. Love is not an easy feeling to put into words. Nor is loyalty, or courage. He was all of these. He loved life completely and he lived it well.
