I knew Mr. Trejo through my grandparents, Richard and Margery Young. I most clearly remember him being present at the small gathering of friends we hosted in honor of my grandma after her passing and how nice it was to have him their to share his memories - both of my grandparents and of his life. I enjoyed learning more about him and will remember him throughout my life.

I took Astronomy classes from Captain Trejo.  I loved taking his classes.  He was a great teacher and used to entertain us with some of his sea stories from time to time.  When someone arrived late for class we were sure to hear about "Harry the bell tapper".I got to thinking of him today because of Veterans Day. I was sorry to hear of his passing.  May he rest in peace.
