A good friend for more than forty years, Paul to me was a mentor and someone always there when needed. My very favorite memory of him and I together was standing watch with him on Aeolis in the middle of the North Atlantic in a gale, riding thirty foot waves, main sail reefed and about to be torn, Paul never flinching.
