I just got the message. Paul was a fine officer, professional colleague, and friend. His legacy is one of selfless service, superior leadership, and distinguished and honorable service to his country and to the United States Navy. I count a privilege to have served with him.

Paul will always be my Skipper to me.  I owe him a great deal as he truly shaped me as a young junior officer and prepared me well for the journey of a Naval career. His influence, common sense leadership and wisdom remains with me to this day. He made a difference.
