shocking news!  sending heartfelt condolences to family and to alaska friends.  visited with him in august in anchorage and am so very grateful for the wonderful time we had.  pat and i go all the way back to 1966 and shared a lot of memories.  truly an amazing, remarkable, brilliant, interesting guy.  he will be missed.     cynthia b luce
