she had an individual story to tell.

I never saw your illness or indifferences. When I looked at you! When I talked to you! You were always so inviting, kind, full of life and love! You were my family, my aunt! You never forgot us! I can still hear your voice. Thank you for the love & memories Aunt Pat! They will forever live in my heart! You have eternal peace now and where Iam finding my comfort! You are free! I love you!
I will miss you! I will see you again!
Pat was a welcoming cousin, smile and hug for me over the years. Every visit to California from Jersey meant a short stay with Pat and Aunt Tess. They always made me feel loved, at home and like family. No wonder Sibby came to California in his last years. Pat's mind was sharp as a tack, remembering each of my brothers. There's another angel in heaven. Salut and God Bless!
My memories, remembrances, reflections on Pat and her life were always clouded by her illnesses and how many miles we lived from each other. I am embarrassed to admit that I barely knew her, except for occasional visits and a number of annual phone calls. Pat's illness, not only robbed her of a normal life but also created family barriers that lengthened that separation. (continued)
We (I) choose to just let Pat be and let her live her life her way (must have something to do with Hoboken). I don't believe we really understood what she was going through. Her unfulfilled dreams, plans, visions of what she wanted to be, never happened. I know she had all of these. Whenever I talked with her she always said "when I get better" I will do all of these things. So sad! (cont)
Pat, we should have taken you more seriously and provided you more support, so you could have fulfilled some of your plans. I will always remember you as the beautiful, intelligent, life loving sister that stood up at my wedding. You will be missed! A saying in the Navy, "I wish you fair winds and following seas", on your journey into eternity. Love you and miss you. Brother John
